SILT CONTENT TEST OF FINE AGGREGATE AIM: To determine the Silt content in the Fine aggregate. APPARATUS REQUIRED: Glass Measuring jar PROCEDURE: A measuring jar of (200 – 500ml) should be half filled with the sample. Water is added to the jar up to the 3/4th of its full capacity. The jar with water should be shaken for at least 30seconds, so that all the silt particle get mixed with water and jar is kept in undisturbed condition for two hour.
